Dedham Food Pantry is the front-line safety net organization for residents struggling to make ends meet. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the Pantry will install a new reception desk, add cold and dry storage, and maximize its limited space to better serve a growing client base. With increased storage capacity, the organization will be able to provide clients with greater access to a wider variety of fresh and nutritious foods, which is especially critical for families with young children.

Coplay Fire Department

The Coplay Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department served by men and women, as well as members from the LGBTQ+ community. With the Lowe’s Hometown grant, the fire department will build a bunk room for overnight sleeping accommodations, build a kitchen area to include installation of cabinets, counters, oven, sink, refrigerator and microwave. The grant will also be used to pave asphalt in our parking lot.

Community Supported Shelters helps the unhoused in our community rebuild their lives through intentional community, including our Access Center, which provides showers, laundry services, clothing, haircuts, and more. The Lowe’s Hometown Project will provide vital upgrades for our Access Center, including a lean-to cover, propane heaters, storage shed, a dog kennel, and a table. These upgrades will increase the space's efficiency and capacity and make it more accessible and welcoming for those experiencing homelessness in our community.

The Community Care Center of Forsyth County provides high-quality, compassionate healthcare to uninsured residents, ensuring they receive essential medical services regardless of their ability to pay. With support from Lowe’s Hometowns, we will renovate our facility to create a more welcoming and functional space, improving accessibility, patient comfort, and the delivery of critical services such as dental care and specialty treatments.

Common Ground Relief

Common Ground Relief is a boots-on-the-ground community organization that has worked to address the impacts of coastal land loss in southeast Louisiana for 25 years. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, Common Ground Relief will enhance its Native Plant Nursery, including repairing and expanding exterior fencing, installing a wheelchair-accessible greenhouse and varied-height seating and garden beds, and laying accessible pathways.

Clark County District Court Veterans Garden

The Clark County Veterans Garden is a criminal justice community service site with a large garden which is used to grow fresh food for the food banks in our area. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the organization will add a 30’ x 72’ greenhouse to the property. This greenhouse will extend its growing season, expand capacity, and increase the amount of fresh food we can donate to the local food banks.

City of Refuge Dalton

City of Refuge Dalton exists to reach and restore individuals by providing transitional housing, domestic violence services, workforce development, education, and other support services. With the Lowe’s Hometown grant, we will complete the educational and workforce development wing - adding a kitchenette for student meals and classrooms for job training, financial literacy, and life skills coaching.

City of Obetz

The City of Billings Fire Department provides outstanding emergency services to the 300,000 residents of Montana's largest metropolitan area. The Lowe's Hometowns grant will fund the interior remodel of Fire Station 5 to replace failing infrastructure and provide private bedrooms and bathrooms for the dedicated firefighters who serve the community 24/7.

Children's Homes of Iredell County

Children’s Homes of Iredell County is a foster care agency that is dedicated to empowering at-risk children and young adults, helping them overcome adversity and reach their full potential through evidence-based programs and family-modeled environments. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the agency will renovate an existing transitional living home by adding three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette/social area, increasing capacity to serve up to six additional residents.
