With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant the historic hospital will transform two crucial areas: the pediatric inpatient unit will get a welcoming family and teen center alongside a dedicated space for families and staff to meet, featuring updated furniture, child-safe storage, and essential amenities.

Cherry Street Mission's Sparrows Nest-Women's Homeless Shelter

Cherry Street Mission Ministries provides essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness in Toledo, Ohio. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the Sparrows Nest Women’s Shelter will receive new commercial-grade flooring and fresh paint in key areas, improving safety and comfort for residents. These renovations will create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for the 600+ women who rely on the shelter each year.

Charlotte Bilingual Preschool

Charlotte Bilingual Preschool was founded in 1999 to provide Latino children with a free, high-quality bilingual education and today serves 700 Latino children and adults annually through 3 business lines: a Bilingual Preschool, a Workforce Development program and a Family Services program. With the Lowe's Hometowns grant, Charlotte Bilingual Preschool will install new flooring, paint the interior and exterior of our building and install a digital sign at the roadside of our property.

Central Texas Table of Grace provides a nurturing and stable home for children and youth in crisis, where they can heal and thrive through compassionate care and evidence-based programs. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the organization will convert an existing building into a fully equipped mechanics workshop by installing vehicle lifts, durable flooring, ventilation, upgraded electrical systems, and dedicated workstations.

American Legion Post 321 is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the well-being of local veterans, active-duty military, military families, and the community while promoting patriotism and awareness of veterans' contributions. With the support of the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the organization will renovate its facility by upgrading its bathrooms to comply with ADA standards, conducting mold remediation, updating the well-used kitchen, and replacing the deteriorating flooring, ceiling, and outdated ductwork in our canteen.

With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, CCWTN will rebuild crumbling retaining walls, install concrete seating, replace outdated HVAC units, and enhance the property with landscaping and functional seating for those we serve.

Canopy Village

Canopy Village is North Idaho’s only crisis respite and emergency shelter for youth, also providing residential treatment and family support services. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the facility will remove old flooring, mask windows, paint interior walls, and replace worn vinyl and carpet throughout its 35-year-old residential home, which serves up to twelve children at a time.

The mission of the Brookings Public Library is to inspire curiosity and discovery, advance knowledge, and strengthen the Brookings community through diverse and inclusive collections, services, and programs. Through the Lowe’s Hometown Grant program, the Library will give a much-needed update to shelving in both the Children’s Area and the Teen Space, while also creating a distinctive and engaging experience in each area with visual updates. These updates will ensure children, families, and teens have safe, welcoming, and engaging spaces at the Brookings Public Library.
