As division president, Joel Cogdell owns and is accountable for the execution of the sales, service and operational components of Lowe's strategy across the South division. He joined Lowe’s in 2018.
Joel has 25 years of experience in retail leadership, including store operations and asset protection. As a district manager at Lowe's, he supported stores during the Hurricane Michael recovery efforts before being promoted to regional vice president, first in the Atlanta area and then in Charlotte. Before joining Lowe’s, he served as district manager with The Home Depot. Previously, he served Target Corp. for 11 years in a variety of roles, including leading the southeast region’s operations and assets protection teams.
Joel earned an associate degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Devry University. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council
