The Jacksonville Senior Wellness & Activity Center is a nonprofit wellness center for senior adults that provides socialization, transportation, and meals in our center as well as home delivered meals for homebound seniors. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the center will build a brand new seating area and pavilion outside of its facility, and repair its kitchen floor by applying an epoxy, non-slip finish to the concrete.

The Food Pantry at Farmington United Methodist Church serves a growing community with an ever-increasing "food-at-risk" population. Through Lowe's Hometowns, the kitchen facilities will be renovated in order to increase their ability to serve residents in the community.

The Lowe's Hometowns project will revitalize a city park in Earle, Arkansas with ADA compliant play spaces, outdoor seating, basketball court renovations, landscaping, resurfaced pathways and enhanced park signage. The park will serve as a place for the community to connect and children to play and dream.

The Wedington Volunteer Fire Department has serviced rural Washington County for 45 years. It is a place for volunteers to learn, relax and re-group after a call. It’s where the community gathers for elections, meetings and more. Installing new garage doors will allow for smoother responses, plus new paint and flooring to provide a much-needed face lift.

The Henderson Volunteer Fire Department kitchen remodel would be the first time the original kitchen has been updated since the 1960s. With new plumbing, electric, appliances, cabinets, countertops, lighting, flooring, and more this complete kitchen flip would be an important focal point for the small community of Henderson.

A community wishes to build a playground area in a low-income housing complex that will provide a place for children to play and help bridge the gap in youth obesity, self-esteem and anxiety issues, among the many other benefits that play brings to participating youths. The community has very limited access to playground equipment and families may lack transportation to take their children to another city park or gym. The space will foster a healthy lifestyle and help steer children from excess screen time or undesired activities.

A city wishes to turn an unused school building into a men’s-only homeless shelter that will help keep men in need off the streets and focused on getting the help they need to become self-sufficient. In a city that has 14% of its male population living homeless, the shelter will address a critical need and support a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness.
