This Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Fire Company plans to bring a local firehouse into the 21st century via key structural and aesthetic renovations to increase accessibility and energy conservation while transforming an ill-placed kitchen that also serves as the firehouse's public entrance. Needs include ensuring the facility is ADA compliant, eliminating rodent infestation, creating more space, storage and power outlets.

The Phinney Neighborhood Association has a project covering two sites. They would like to build a deck outside the Greenwood Senior Center with tables, chairs, and umbrellas that would also provide a space for meetings, classes and support groups. The Phinney Center itself has no outdoor space, so the project would also transform its lower lot with tables, chairs and umbrellas, as well as create sitting spaces at various points throughout the property.

Pickens Elementary School wants to create an outdoor learning environment and garden to include a covered pavilion for students and teachers. Such a peaceful location will especially help the students PES serves who have emotional or behavioral challenges. The Hope Garden would also offer many hands-on learning opportunities, and the school would like to include a greenhouse.

Parity Baltimore is an equitable development company that acquires and rehabilitates abandoned properties by the block to create affordable home ownership opportunities. Their project entails renovating a vacant building to create permanent affordable housing for existing community members. The property is currently established as a three-unit building.

Project Compassion wants to refurbish its Free Cafe and Laundry facility's deck for access and safety. The accessible ramp leads to the organization's primary entrance. The organization also needs two new washers and dryers to help homeless mothers wash clothing, and they would like to add pantry shelving for families to take nonperishable meals home.

Rebuilding Together of Alexandria/Washington, D.C. seeks to revitalize the Fort Stanton Recreation Center's three outdoor gardening areas. Each area was once well-maintained by the Department of Parks and Recreation and community stakeholders who were committed to the idea of sustainability and sufficiency. But COVID-19 sent everyone home, all areas became unused and unmaintained, and funding priorities shifted for the Department.

Reidsville High School seeks to add concessions and restroom facilities with electricity, and to install HVAC in its gym and renovate the restrooms to ensure they're accessible for guests and students with disabilities.

The Rochester Museum and Science Center would like to build a community-designed greenspace to support activities like bee hive placement, outdoor classroom placement and construction, greenhouse building, garden bed building followed by seedling planting and possibly orchard placement.

Roof Above would like to add an outdoor gathering space at its brand new permanent supportive housing community, which will provide housing for 88 people who have experienced chronic homelessness. This grant would allow Roof Above to transform the space's old pool area, which had previously been filled in, into an outdoor gathering space for both informal and formal community-building activities.

Panther Valley Elementary School seeks to improve the mental health, overall well-being and compassion fatigue of its teachers and staff by creating a comfortable, updated faculty room. The school district community lives in poverty and classes exceed the recommended class size by 10-12 students.
