Hope Ministries has been serving individuals and families facing homelessness, hunger, abuse or addiction in Central Iowa since 1915, providing free warm meals, safe shelter and life-changing recovery programs. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the nonprofit will renovate its new 24-unit affordable, supportive housing campus for men and building out the lower level to include a lounge/game room, fitness room, classroom, case manager office and large meeting room for recovery group gatherings. This renovation will provide a vital community living atmosphere for the campus’s future residents, helping like-minded, once homeless men maintain their sobriety and continue making positive changes in their lives.
