The Division of Indian Work’s (DIW) mission is to support and strengthen urban American Indian people through culturally-based education, traditional healing approaches, and leadership development. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, DIW would install a waterproofing system and repair water damage to our Dakotah Lodge, an urban American Indian gathering space for over 30 years. These renovations will allow DIW to continue to offer this community asset and safe space to urban American Indian families, program participants and partners.
